Roasted acorns from Lithuania
An old friend from Lithuania, Giedre, out of the blue sent me some roasted acorn “coffee”. Very exciting. When I go on my squirrel fast I will now be prepared.
The drink is prepared by simmering it for several minutes. She recommended using equal quantities milk and water, however tomorrow I’ll try it with just water. The flavor is much milder then I was expecting. It’s sweet and nutty, and kind of like roobos tea.
