PICNIC

I was running through Reed canyon, on the north bank footpath, and tried some fruit. It seemed of a wild variety, as I couldn’t tell at first whether the small red fruits hanging in clusters on a branch were apples, cherries, or plums. They tasted like plums, but they could just as well could have been cherries. I also saw something resembling a huckleberry, but with lots of seeds. I masticated it then spit it out. It was sweet and tasted good.

My mothers chicken coop looks a bit like my cart, or perhaps it’s the other way around?

I built this bunker about 14 years ago, in a narrow crevasse, behind my parents house.

I went on a long run today to Gresham and brought a pear, 500 ml of water, and a few running bars that I made. I’ve tried a few times without success to make a so called energy bar. This time I went to the Rice Crispies web site for a recipe. I made the goo sauce out of marshmallows and butter, as they call for, and mixed this with some homemade granola. They were really good, and definitely did the job.
