milky-way

Me, Kate, and Riley went hiking this weekend at Gray Butte in central Oregon. The purpose of the trip was to see the stars outside of city lights.

I brought a bunch of food. Salmon, corn on the cob, roast potatoes for dinner. Pancakes with huckleberries for breakfast, also coffee. Riley really likes black coffee, but his mother thinks it will stunt his growth. I therefore only let him have one sip per cup.

huckleberry

Me, Elle, and Lindsey went to Mirror Lake today to pick huckleberries.

2 hours of picking yielded about 8 ounces of berries.

We had a good picnic though.
