Green objects

The cart now has a name. This is rendered in 600 point helvetica. Chris says, ‘it looks like a computer.’ I could always make the letters in a different font.

I got a used 2008 Zap truck. It goes about 15 miles on a charge, but costs, at Oregon rates, about 40 cents to charge.

I printed the text out in 600 point helvetica. It’s backwards. I then pasted it onto plywood and used a jigsaw to trace along the lines.

The finished letters are pretty cool looking!

Minneapolis

This last weekend I flew out to Minneapolis to see some family. I took the light rail to my aunt Elly’s house. She has a garden done in what I would call the french intensive style. We picked purple beans, squash blossoms, arugula, nasturtium, and chard for a lunch salad.

Elly made a batter for the squash blossoms and filled them with blue cheese. I pan fried them and she covered them with a dash of salt and parmesan.

My grandmother organized a party up north to Gull Lake for 4 days. I sailed. My parents kayaked.

Finished the awning on the front porch.

Moved the water heater exhaust vent down slightly and increased the flashing diameter to 5 inches from 3.
